i don’t think this worked coming back. season 2 has nathan fielder helping pilots prepare for disasters by building elaborate simulations. the premise is fine. the execution felt… off.

i didn’t like it. the magic of season 1 was the slow reveal of how weird nathan was willing to get. now we know, and it’s less surprising.

the best parts were when he went back to sets from season 1. that felt like there was still something to explore there. the airplane stuff just felt like expensive chaos.

critics loved it (98% on rotten tomatoes). maybe i’m wrong. probably i’m wrong. still didn’t like it.
