helen hunt is so mean! she shows up as deborah’s rival and just radiates hostility in every scene. this season was a lot of fun—the rivalry between ava and deborah gets darker, which jean smart apparently found “surprising.”
the show keeps finding new ways to put deborah in situations where she has to choose between her ego and her relationships. she keeps choosing her ego. that’s the bit.
renewed for season 5. jean smart will continue to be perfect.
