the final book in butler’s xenogenesis trilogy. jodahs is the first human-oankali ooloi, a shapeshifting third sex that’s more powerful than intended. butler’s still asking uncomfortable questions about consent, biology, and what it means to be human. it’s good, but the trilogy peaked with dawn for me.
